Hanging out? I figure yes, but let me know if you're gonna be around or not.

It was supposed to be an "on" week, but I feel like shit.
I've been fighting off some sort of upper respiratory issue. I thought it was nothing but an unproductive cough with no fever, until I got really fatigued. I ended up taking a z-pack which ended Tuesday. I was feeling better, but the whole thing rebounded on me and I'm fatigued, coughing and having trouble breathing. I have an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow.
I don't feel up for anything right now and I don't want to pass Pneumonia around if that's what this is, so I'm going to give this week a miss. Hopefully I'll be ok for next week.
I left you a message on your cell saying much the same.

Hope you feel better. Never got the message, but my phone is a piece of shit, so I'm not surprised.

Yeah, the doctors says my condition sounds weird. either what I have is viral and not bacterial because the z-pack didn't work, or if it is bacterial the z-pack was too weak. It's either a chronic bronchitis or a type of pneumonia.
Either way to play it safe, he gave me 10 days dose of a more powerful antibiotic and 30 days worth of prednisone to clear my airways, which he said he could hear collapse when I exhaled, which explains my shortness of breath and fatigue; I'm just not breathing.
So, anyhow, a few days of antibiotic and steroids and I'm sure I'll be in better shape.
Next week looks better.

Have the same bullshit going around here as well. I had to burn 5 days of time off over the past 2 weeks because of an illness that amounted to having the flu. Which is bullshit, cause I got the shot this year. So, I guess now I know better. And now I have my own inoculator in the house, called a baby who goes to day care. Here's to getting every illness ever for the next 10+ years.

Yeah, the last time I got the Flu was the first time I got a Flu shot. I think Flu shots are just too unreliable, considering the number of strains of Flu out there. You couldn't pay me to get another Flu shot.
And, yes, for at least the next 3-4 years you'll be having every germ and bug come home on the kid and getting sick. The same shit happened to Priscilla for the first few years she did preschool, she was always sick.
Kids.

That's the problem with flu shots, they only vaccinate against the strains they figure are most likely and/or most dangerous. Statistically from a public health standpoint it makes perfect sense, unfortunately it means that a lot of us get screwed if a minor strain hits a region. And this year they said that they might have protected against the wrong strains, especially if you used the inhaled delivery system instead of the needle (or that may be reversed...).
Also, able to hang out on the 29th?

Sorry for the late post. Yes, I'm somewhat better, still coughing up a lot and have strained a stomach muscle doing so, but I'm sure I'm not contagious.
It's been a busy week and I just plain forgot to check the site until now to say that I'd be ok to pick Jim up around 2PM.
